Patrick Saxton is a senior electrical engineer at the California Energy Commission. His current role is as an advisor to Commissioner Andrew McAllister with responsibilities for appliance and building energy efficiency, including AB 758 efforts on efficiency for existing buildings. He has worked at the Commission for seven years, including five years on solar electric program design and implementation. He was on the advisory committee for the Solar America Board for Codes and Standards (Solar ABCs). Prior to joining the Energy Commission, Patrick worked as an engineer in the private sector for a decade.
